Towcester promoter Lord Hesketh and Clarissa Baldwin CBE, ex-CEO of Dogs Trust and chairman of the Greyhound Forum, have both endorsed the appointment of Jeremy Cooper as the new chairman of the Greyhound Board of Great Britain.
Hesketh said: “It is excellent news and definitely a move in the right direction for the industry. It shows real intent to deliver welfare as a priority, which is now an absolute must.”
Clarissa Baldwin said: “How refreshing to see that an animal welfarist has been appointed as the new Chairman of GBGB. Jeremy Cooper brings a broad spectrum of knowledge on animal welfare topics. This knowledge will be particularly significant and helpful to GBGB as they start to fulfil their 8 point welfare commitment.
