The Best Car Parks Gold Cup Final was run almost exactly as predicted by trainer Graham Holland with winner Slippery Fred (Brett Lee-Steamy Windows, May 12) taking full advantage of his draw in red.
Surprisingly led up by Jaytee Dutch (T2) and Proud Graham (T3), Fred slipped clear as the two leaders both moved off at the first bend. It was then a case of ‘1-2’ all the way to the winning line with Larry Dunne’s black got home by a length in 29.62 for the 550 yards.
