Irish Import Mucky Sully made an impressive debut for John Walton’s kennel in an A4 contest at Belle Vue on Friday. The August 2013 son of Kinloch Brae and Out Of Court had signed off his Irish card with his first win at Cork and showed that he had settled in well at his new surroundings by clearing first bend trouble and storming round the 470 metres in 27.85, winning by eight lengths.

 

Acomb Betty is a lady right at the top of her game at Kinsley for trainer Kevin Ferguson. The bitch, an October 2013 daughter of Kinloch Brae and Ring Ouzel finished June with an A4 in 28.40 for the 462 metres, and began July with an A3 success in 28.30 before completing a hat-trick on Friday in A2, clocking 27.93.

 

Harry Crapper’s promising sprinter Worsboro Spectre, who was a first round casualty in the Puppy Plate over four bends at the Sunderland Festival, looked in good order when trialling at Sheffield on Thursday. The October 2013 son of Ace Hi Rumble and Worsboro Jewel prepared for a return to action with a comfortable win in a three-dog trial, posting 15.98 for the 280 metres.
