Corrin Bob landed the richest race of the day in the John Davidson and Colin Wilson Memorial Trophy over 540 metres at Crayford on Saturday.
Ernie Gaskin’s runner rode an early bump before going on to beat Swift Whirlwind by just over five lengths in 33.52sec.
The race provided those involved with a look round the track in preparation for the forthcoming Gold Collar at the track.
There were three trial stakes for the upcoming 540 metre contest with some impressive performances.
Paul Young’s Kent Derby finalist Swabys Millward was soon clear in Division Two to score a four length victory over Flagfield Band in 33.55sec.
Dean Childs’ Droopys Ontario came through strongly on the second circuit in division one to beat Grand National winner Mo’s Bullet by almost three lengths in 33.71sec.
Jenny March’s Clonmoyle Shane was a shock 7-1 winner of the other trial stake when picking up Lisnadara Lad close home to score by a short head in 33.88sec.
