RGOA Dog of the year:
1st- Itsur Geezer – Trained: Paul Young – Owned: Itsur Round Syndicate
2nd- Ballymac Leo – Trained: David Mullins – Owned: Mr D. Sullivan (Jnr)
3rd- Underground Vada – Trained: Paul Young – Owned: Underground Greyhounds
Itsur Geezer (Vans Escalade-Park Perky, Jan 14) qualified into A3 in January and has gone on to win A1 and opens with 15 wins and 9 seconds from 45 races.
RGOA Bitch of the year:
1st- Wednesday Adams – Trained: Philip Simmonds – Owned: Mr P.J. Simmonds
2nd- Sportsmans JoJo – Trained: Martyn Wiley – Owned: Flannerys Bar
3rd- Newlawn Cross – Trained: Philip Simmonds – Owned: Mr P.J. Claxson
British bred Wednesday Adams (Coolavanny Bert-Ambience, Apr 14) has spent the whole year in A1/open company for nine wins and 5 seconds from 26 races.
RGOA Open race greyhound of the year:
1st- Toot Hill Wizard – Trained: Philip Simmonds – Owned: The Green Man Syndicate
2nd- Dance Costa – Trained: Philip Simmonds – Owned: Mr B. Sayers
3rd- Marmalady – Trained: David Mullins – Owned: Mr J.M. Proctor
Toot Hill Wizard has 12 wins and 5 seconds from 37 races at the track this year. If you had bet £1 on Wizard every time he raced, you would be £28.25 in profit.
The October Dog of the Month was In The Kingdom, owned and trained by Martyn Wiley with three wins and a fourth in four races.
The Bitch of the Month, for the second month in a row was Wednesday Adams (details above).
