Running for the 48th time at the track, the black went to traps as a 5-4 chance in a £500 open final and beat kennelmate Saffrons Anna by four lengths in 23.85 for 400m. It was her 25th at London Road and her winning time was just 11 spots slower than her personal best over course and distance.
15 minutes later her male counterpart Fivestar Clipper missed out on a chance to close up on table leader Heaven Malchik when fifth in a 575m open won by Borna Genie. The night’s other £500 decider went to Frank Gray’s Millroad Henry in 35.90.
