Swift Europe made it thee wins from his last four races when taking the Blunsden 509er at Swindon on Wednesday.
Paul Foster’s runner, a November 12 son of Makeshift, had previously won two of his three A1 races at the Wiltshire venue before being stepped up in trip for this open.
He was only third going into the first bend but railing well hit the front on the turn and went on to beat Ask Stan by a length and a half in a useful 30.18sec.
Foster was hoping for an open race double with his Snaffi Yank in the Blunsden Stayers Stakes over 685 metres but he was thwarted by West City Star.
Derek Davy’s runner got up in the shadow of the post to score by a short head in 42.06sec.
