A bit like Arnie – Ballymac Magnier will be back.
Britain’s busiest greyhound was contesting his 21st race of the year at Harlow on Monday when he was beaten a distance with the comment ‘ck 2’.
Thankfully the four year old had suffered nothing worse than a touch of cramp.
Trainer Jim Daly senior, who is currently off the racing strength himself awaiting an operation, hopes to see the dog resume his career which already stretches to 130 races.
He said: “My daughter is running the kennel and she didn’t report any major problems with the dog. But he has had a lot of races so we will give him a few weeks off before we trial him back.”
