Last night’s talking point at Clonmel was the defeat of the ‘talking dog’ Razldazl Duke in the third round of the Red Mills Unraced.
Dolores Ruth’s 1-3f was led up by Locnamon Eva (Tubbertelly Dubh-Locnamon Millie, Jul 14) and the 4-1 chance held on by a head in 28.89 (all races .10 slow).
Duke’s brother Razldazl Tierna (2-5f) also missed out when beaten into third place in the messy third heat by 29.67 winner Nomadic Vision (Droopys Cain-Nomadic Sal, Feb 14).
The two fastest times of the night both went to the ladies. Ger Kiely’s Airmount Tess (Brett Lee-Airmount Pearl, Jul 14), beaten in her first two outings, bounced back with a 28.79 victory.
While Mary Buggy’s favourite Kilgraney June (Scolari Me Daddy-Kilgraney Poppy, Jul 14) saw off her three opposition with a 28.92 win.
