Locallly trained Droopys Story (Central City-Droopys Solange, Feb 14) became Paul Young’s third Coral Golden Sprint winner.
The 5-2f was very quick away from trap three (3.66 sect) with Pass To Go (3.77) in pursuit and the pair remained in that order all the way to the winning line. The winner got home by a length and three quarters in 24.13. It was his sixth win in nine races at Romford.
Young had previously won the event with Shes Our Star (’04) and Droopys Sammer (’05).
