The top five lots at Sittingbourne sales all began life at Sean and Michael Dunphy’s Ballyvalican Kennel in Waterford and the most expensive trio were all well-bred unraced bitch puppies.
Top lot at 2,550 guineas was Droopys McQueen (Blackstone Gene-Droopys Laramie, Sep 13). Droopys Tequilla (Droopys Scolari-Droopys Force, Sep 13) and Droopys Messina (Blonde Snapper-Droopys Valerie, Jul 13) both made 2,300gns.
McQueen is a full sister to Ashford Castle and a half sister to Droopys Cain and Racenight Jenny. Messina is a litter sister to Monmore Puppy Derby hopeful Droopys Turin.
Organiser Brian Harrison said: “It was a good sale, 43 trialled and 32 were sold with probably 13 due to stay at Sittingbourne. Our next sale will be at Sheffield in April.”
