Connections of Westmead Westmead Lola (Wheres Pedro-Westmead Ourora, May 12) will be rubbing their hands together following Ladbrokes recent announcement that they are doubling the win prize to £1,000 for their regular Crayford category three finals.
The British bred black (1-3f) won Ladbrokes.com 540 Saturday’s final by a shade under 11 lengths in 33.42. It was the second fastest time in three years over course and distance – bettered only by own 33.36 last month.
Lola has won seven of her last eight races – the only defeat, a second place to Hove 29.77 winner Domino Storm.
The British bred, who began her career in A6 at Henlow, is unbeaten in her five Crayford outings with aggregate winnings distances of 36.5 lengths.
