Bockos Doomie looks drawn to perfection in the third semi-final of the Ladbrokes Kent Derby over 480 metres at Central Park on Sunday.

Patrick Janssens’s runner got a bumpy ride from trap four last week before going on to beat Lenson John in 29.22sec (-40).

Drawn on the fence the son of Droopys Jet is expected to rail into the lead on the turn and hold off the strong late run on British Bred Northern Plate runner-up King Lennon.

The owner Graham Box, who is also a part owner of Irish Derby winner Lenson Bocko said: “The dog has won eight of his 12 races with all the defeats coming at Nottingham. He runs Central Park well and trap one is ideal for him.  We’re hoping for a big run.”

Ballymac Osby has a fine chance to lead up in the second qualifier for Kevin Hutton.

The son of Kinloch Brae is more effective when allowed to dictate and he can make all the main expense of kennelmate and Puppy Classic runner-up Headford Ranger.

Fitenwell can complete a magnificent seven-timer in the opening semi-final.

Emma Richards’ runner has won his last four races at Central Park including his heat in 29.12 (-40) and can quickly assume command.

Stuart Maplesden’s Fayes Jet who went slightly faster with 29.03sec last week, looks the main danger.
