Doncaster had another decent entry for their Saturday afternoon opens with entries from afar afield as Shawfield, Sheffield, Newcastle, Perry Barr and Swindon.
Neither competition attracted 18 runners – but will be run for 11 and 12 dogs.
There is quality too including Apache Kid (29.08 for the standard last year) in the British bred open, Bramble Rafa in the stayers competition, Elaine Parker’s Lightfoot King in the standard trialstake, plus John Mullins’ Scottish Derby hopeful Rackethall Lass in the bitch’s event.
