Diego Flight may have run his last race. Rab McNair’s beaten St.Leger favourite finished lame at Towcester on Tuesday night and was scratched from Saturday’s Derby supporting card.
McNair said: “I am away to the vet’s this morning for an x-ray but I am 99% sure that he is finished with a smashed foot. It was a very bad night, we had three runners and none of them came off the track right. Diego Flight swung off very wide at the bend and there were some comments made on the TV about it.”
