“It’s all down to the draw now” said Angela Harrison following another superb victory by Droopys Verve in the Star Sports English Greyhound Derby semi finals.
The Newcastle runner clocked 28.91 when winning his semi final and is guaranteed trap four in the final.
The Newcastle handler said: “He is fresh this morning; he doesn’t look at all tired. Verve is our first finalist. Buick made the semis last year without ever really running the track. Verve showed from the trialstakes onwards that he really does love the place. A lot now depends on where Dorotas Wildcat is drawn. He was in white for the semi finals and didn’t come away but ran a fantastic race to finish second. He will be hard to beat if he is drawn near the rails.”
