Towcester have been forced to alter the dates of the 2022 Greyhound Derby due to circumstances beyond their control.
Track spokesman Nathan Corden said: “We were informed last weekend that the F1 British Grand Prix has been brought forward by 2 weeks to the weekend of 2nd/3rd July. When initial contact was made with Silverstone we were informed it would be the weekend of 16th/17th July but could potentially be 9th/10th July.
“We obviously set our dates around them which will now not work and thus we contacted the GBGB immediately on Monday morning to request a change. We are delighted that request has been granted today and therefore the Derby will move forward one week to finish on Saturday 25th June”
New Derby dates are:-
1st Round – 19/20/21 May
2nd Round – 27/28 May
3rd Round – 4 June
Quarters – 11 June
Semis – 18 June
Final – 25 June
