Derby champion Astute Missile is back on the track, and will have a trial from the 240m Hove boxes next Monday.
Teresa Cahill, wife and assistant to trainer Seamus, reported the great news that their 2017 Star Sports Derby champ, owned by Geoff Hill, showed no adverse reaction after his handslip workout at Hove yesterday.
He will now continue his comeback from a serious hock injury in gentle stages, as Teresa explained: “We’re both very happy with his progress, and also Droopys Acrobat (fifth in last year’s final, and now recovered from a wrist injury); Acrobat is doing cracking times in sprint trials (calc. 16.25 the latest) but neither will be rushed. It’ll be another 285 next week for him. Hopefully it’s onwards and upwards now.”
