At the hearings of the Disciplinary Committee on Thurday the following trainers were found to be in breach of GBGB Rules of Racing 152 (i) & (ii), 174 (i)(a), 214, 216 and 217 after urine samples were analysed by LGC Health Services and found to contain the presence of 5-hydroxytryptohhan (5-HTP).
Mr J P Lambe was severely reprimanded and fined £1,000 in respect of a sample taken from the greyhound Highfire Bruce at Perry Barr Stadium on 24 June 2014.
Mr S Gaughan was reprimanded and fined £500 in respect of a sample taken from the greyhound Rourkeys Options at Henlow Stadium on 1 February 2013.
Mr S W Deakin was disqualified for 6 months, suspended for one year, and fined £2,000 in respect of samples taken from the greyhounds Step Dancer at Hall Green Stadium on 25 February 2013 and Here Comes Two at Hall Green Stadium on 27 February 2013. Mr Deakin was also fined £250 in respect of Rule 18 (ii).
