Central Park racing manager Dan Homewood is swerving the ‘form choice’ for Sunday’s final of the Colossus Bets Grand National, in which Ricky Holloway trains four of the field.
Ex-Monmore A2 runner Nomansland Flyer clocked the fastest heat and semi final but is not the fastest runner in the line-up according to the grader.
He said: “The draw would seem to favour Flyer, though he isn’t a true wide runner. But I think Roxholme Biscuit, who was the ante post favourite, is the faster of the two and his time would have been much quicker but for being hampered. Roxholme Butt isn’t out of it either. He still has a lot to learn and the final might come a bit too early for him, but he has ability and of course, he is totally genuine.”
Final betting: 4-5 Roxholme Biscuit, 7-4 Normansland Flyer, 6-1 Roxholme Butt, 12-1 Lenson Wilson, 16-1 Tough Test, 66-1 Subterfuge
