Crayford welcome back the Summer Championships on Saturday – when bragging rights will be at stake over four different distances.
Two heats of graded competitions over 380m flat, 380m hurdles, 540 metres and 714 metres will determine the six runners in the following Saturday’s finals, each being worth £750 to the winner.
So was there anything too hot to grade?
Racing manager Danny Rayment said: “No, we used all those that were entered. I struggled a little bit with the 540 with a few enforced absentees. Deanridge Kane is being kept back for the Champion Stakes. Droopys Noodle is off for six weeks and Sleepy Kevin pulled up last time out and we haven’t seen him since.
“But the hurdle is very strong this time. Its good to have the Champion Hurdle winner in there, and in addition to the two H1s, we are also running an H2 on Thursday.”
