Nathan Corden has taken a decisive early lead in the Tipsters Challenge after two profitable nights giving him a £200.83 profit. Quite possibly the only time that a Forest fan has had anything to smile about since Trevor Francis could get into a pair of shorts.
Patrick Janssens turned in a £215 profit on Saturday and despite Friday night losses, the trickiest Belgian since Eden Hazard still boasts a £115 profit.
Mark Wallis will be relieved to have avoided the ignominy of the red ink with a £45 profit.
It then starts to get depressing.
Floating on top of the . . . . pool is Paul Gebhard, who would have been giving it plenty of ‘who are yas’ had Kilara Icon landed the third leg of his Saturday night treble. Tough! £38.75 loss.
Marginally below him, and working out how to tell Jim Daly that he didn’t tip Blue Tick George (winner 100-30) is David Mitchell £50 loss.
Down another level are Pat Rosney and Peter Harnden. Both £105 loss.
Then the best positioned of the Jocks – Rab McNair with a £118.75 loss. Not good, but better than some. . . . keep reading!
A rain soddened Steve Nash is probably not in the mood to discuss his £145 loss, but at least he is above the bottom feeders. . .
Rob (I want to go back to Sheffield) Crawford, Mark (I have to face Handen tomorrow) Pierrepont and Jimmy (I’m not answering the phone to McNair) Wright are all £200 loss.
Until next Saturday guys – and at all costs – be sure to avoid that smug sod Corden!
