The Poole stewards controversially disqualified AFC Bournemouth’s Cherry Bear and awarded the mascots race to Poole Town FCs Dylan Dolphin at the track’s recent Tuesday meeting.
The official reason for the disqualification was a new hastily scribbled new Rule of Racing 294J ‘competing in trainers’
The pair had finished in front of the host track’s Speedy Greyhound and Hop The Hare, who were outpaced throughout.
The event was the brainchild of Shaun Spencer-Perkins to launch the track’s Summer Special ‘Kids Eat Free’. Promotion.
