Party Pack 170x136mmRazldazl Raidio seized back his former track record when recording a sensational 28.99 (N) for Central Park’s (Sittingbourne’s) 480m hurdle course.

Rick Holloway’s 1-7f looked several classes better than the opposition with a virtually flawless performance. Running in stripes he led home Coolavanny Bono (T2 14-1) and Sidarian Blitz (T3 14-1)by seven-and-a-quarter and two-and-three-quarters.

Ballymac Manix had recorded 29.17 last time out was made a 1-5 chance to land his semi (it was 14-1 bar the two favourites for the two qualifiers). But Seamus Cahill’s runner trapped more slowly – his first sector time was down 13 spots – and he duly crossed the line in 29.38 (-10) from Fridays Sean and Bua Frank. The distances two, and one and a quarter.

Meanwhile in the Kent Derby, Droopys Who (T4 2-1) continued to dominate. Last week’s 28.67 winner found another seven spots and got within 10 spots of Coolavanny Bert’s track record as he led off the determined Barricane Bullet by a length. Who’s kennelmate Droopys Acrobat (T2 7-4f) stumbled after leading from the boxes.

Next quickest and completing a nine-timer was Bubbly Bluebird (T2 1-5f). Paul Young’s blue led home Makeit Bigtime (T6 10-1) by three in 28.79.

The other qualifier went to Kranky Damo who beat Jaytee Spartacus by five in 28.93.
