Borna Cheyne will be hard to beat in the semi-finals of the Henlow Masters over 460 metres on Sunday.
Jim Reynolds’ 2014 Henlow Derby runner-up set the standard last week and is fancied to prove too strong for Coolavanny Gooch.
The presence of two other heat winners; Corner Crash, who scored in 27.51sec and Rhincrew Aine (27.68sec) easily make this the hottest eliminator.
Eric Cantillon’s Allen Wizard, who won his heat in 27.63sec, is fancied to take advantage of a cracking draw on the fence to take the other qualifier.
Swift Edwards, who followed home Borna Cheyne last week, can provide the main threat.
