The Irish interest in the William Hill Classic ended this morning with the news that trainer Peter Cronin had withdrawn Crokers Champ from Saturday’s third semi-final.
A beaten odds-on favourite when runner-up to No But in his heat last week, the son of Kinloch Brae had been joint second favourite with the sponsors to land the trophy next Wednesday, but Cronin reported the dog lame when he contacted the racing office today.
