Cabra Jade has been named GBGB Best Dam of British Bred Litter for 2015.  In a year when the Konica Minolta British Bred Greyhound of the Year category featured a William Hill Derby Final third, a winner of two major competitions, and ‘needs no introduction’ 2016 Coral Coronation Cup winner Adageo Bob, it was always going to be a tough job for the judging panel of the 2015 Dam of British Bred Litter to look beyond the bitches who threw these top greyhounds, and so it proved.

Cabra Jade’s August 2013 litter to the awesome Westmead Hawk included Nottingham British Breeders’ Stakes winner Eden The Kid who broke the track record in the first round of the 2015 William Hill Greyhound Derby before going on to finish a close up third in the Final, as well as Pelaw Grange track record holder and open race winner over both four and six bends Calzaghe Lisa. Cabra Jade has recently whelped a litter to Ladbrokes Scottish Derby runner up and William Hill Derby finalist Mind the Net and the trophy will be presented to representatives of breeders, The Target Lads Syndicate at the GBGB Awards at the Lancaster London on 24th January.
