Droopys Buick moved to within one race of a stab at the Greyhound of the Year title and clocked the fastest time over Hove’s 515m course in 15 months when landing his semi final of the Coral Olympic.
The Jimmy Wright trained Eclipse winner (T3 1-2f) clocked a stunning 29.65 (-10) when beating Sussex Cup winner Barricane Tiger (T1 7-2) by three and a half lengths in 29.65.
The first semi final went to Peregrine Falcon (T1 5-4f) who passed early leader Cork Falcon (T4 7-2) to win by just under two lengths in 30.11 (-10)
The other qualifier went to Brinkleys King (T4 5-2) who beat Huarache Scotty (T3 6-4f) by a length in 30.21 (-10)
