Greyhound of the Year Droopys Buick improved a calculated 25 spots on his second look at Towcester’s 500 metre Derby course. The Jimmy Wright trained black clocked 29.39 (-20) following a previous run of 29.84 (-40).
The Seamus Cahill trained Brinkleys King beat kennelmate Starring Storm by four and a quarter lengths (also -20) with Ballymac Lyster beating Kranky Damo by two and three quarters in 29.63.
Buick’s kennelmate Droopys Five clocked 28.57 (-20) over the 480m course, while kennelmates Droopys Trapeze and Shellam Delano won the 260m and 655m opens in 16.58 (-05) and 39.60 (-15) respectively.
