It was a night for the fairer sex as Mark Wallis landed a 1-2 in the final of the Henlow Mini Derby.

The 428 metre track record holder Aero Babooshka went to traps unbeaten in the event but trapped slowly as Evanta Fantasy carved out the early running.

The 4-6f tracked her kennelmate to the last bend before producing a classy finish to win by two lengths in 25.74.

Savana Mieque ran on to give the females a big race tricast.

Racing manager Paul Mellor said: “It was a fantastic run. There wasn’t much between them at the boxes but the winner came out last.

“She showed great pace to get into second place by the first bend and then won well.

“It was a very good support card with another bitch, Forest Sara just beating Coolavanny Gooch in a fantastic buckle.”
