Ballymac Bonnie gave her supporters a few anxious moments before landing the final of the Gain Dog Food corn Cuchulainn over 750 yards at Harolds Cross on Friday.
Liam Dowling’s bitch made a decent start but dropped herself out at the back of the field as a fast pace was set by Karlow Master.
However she made giants strides down the back straight and went second from the penultimate turn before hitting the front and beating the pace-maker Karlow Master by four and a half lengths in 41.66sec, the fastest time of the event.
She is likely to go for the TV Trophy over 906 metres at Towcester.
