TV Trophy winner Ballymac Bonnie can justify short odds in the semi -finals of the Track Bookmakers Marathon over 1010 yards at Harolds Cross on Friday.

Liam Dowling’s runner set the standard last week when scoring easily in 58.01sec and can outstay Barrys Tea winner Fireheight Amy, who won her heat in a 58.69sec and former Derby finalist Vulturi.

Former Mark Wallis trained Ribble Atom, sent over from the UK especially for this race, can take the second semi-final.

Now with Karol Ramsbottom, she overcame trouble in her heat to score in 58.43sec and can lie handier to the pace and repel Old Gold Bars.

Pat Dalton’s Tradition can also improve she is fancied to land heat three. She gave a start and a two length beating to Vulturi last week in 58.64sec and can hold the late flourish of Michael English’s Kearneys Lila.
