Farloe Blitz and Crown Champ are the fancies in the semi-finals of the Greyhound & Pet World / Odds On Supersprint at Cork over 330 yards on Saturday.
Owen McKenna’s Farloe Blitz caught the eye last week when beating leading sprinter Crown Champ in 17.44sec, the fastest time of the competition.
He’s ideally drawn in the red jacket and can soon be in command.
The main danger is Burgess Four, also unbeaten in the stake with a best time of 17.54sec but he now faces a poor draw in six.
Crown Champ, a 17.47sec heat winner, was beaten last week from trap six but is expected to go better from two in the other qualifier.
Aidan McVeigh’s runner can score at the main expense of Boozed Tony.
Betting: 7-4 Farloe Blitz, 3 Crown Champ, 7 Burgess Four, 8 Boozed Tony, 12 bar.
