There have been a number of excellent videos made about the real lives of greyhounds from birth through to racing age.
Birth To Couch is not the slickest, using fancy video and audio blending techniques, considered narration and slick presentation. But that is its absolute charm.
It was put together by Carly Philpott and Mel Solkhon in the shadow of the whole ‘retired not rescued’ debate. The ladies basically said to greyhound owners, ‘send us what you’ve got’. Their skill was stringing together a wide variety of ‘captured moments’ from around 20 different sources that beautifully demonstrate the relationship between greyhound lovers and their dogs.
Enough said – just watch the video and love it. I did!
