Glenvale Bill took his career record to four wins from six races with another emphatic victory in the semi finals of the Jenningsbet Puppy Classic semi finals at Nottingham on Monday evening.

The Scottish raider improved his trapping on the first round and moved across to rail on leaving the boxes. He was never challenged with another seven length victory in 29.37.

But with Ballymac John and Coppice Rocket both finding chunks on their first round runs, the £12,500 final appears to as good a decider as any in the 28 year history of the event.

Derek Knight’s Sussex Cup winner Candolim Monsoon clocked the fastest time at the pre-race trial session that also featured Derby winner Gaytime Nemo and Towcester track record holder Clona Duke. Both are being prepared for Monday’s JenningsBet Select Stakes.
