Favourite Domino Storm eased her way through the first round of the Lowther Stakes at Towcester on Saturday night. Mark Wallis’ bitch (T1 1-4f) who has been suffering with a sore tendon looked as good as new when winning heat five by almost six lengths in 29.53 (-30) from Swabys’ duo Soul (T6 33-1) and Norah (T5 33-1). 3-1 second favourite Droopys Polly (T3) finished last.
Trainer Mark Wallis said: “I was delighted with the run and think she will come forward for it. The competition will take a bit of winning there were some very good performances, I was particularly impressed with Carol Weatherall’s bitch Mustang Chick who beat Ballymac Shirley, though hopefully she will come on for the run too.”
