Romeo Big Time (Premier Fantasy-Fabulous Life, Apr 13) clocked the fastest time of the day at Monmore’s extended trial session today.
Dave Firmager’s home bred pup who won the Sussex Puppy Trophy at Hove in December, clocked 28.38 on going rated .30 slow.
In his previous trial at Wimbledon, he recorded 28.30 over the Derby distance – 480m.
Firmager would have been thrilled by several of his youngsters, none more so than Romeo Treaty (Head Bound-Fabulous Carmen, Apr 13) whose 15.35 (-10) for 264m was only six spots slower than Target Harris’ fastest time of 2014.
