Bearatipp looked a serious candidate for the William Hill English Derby at Wimbledon after a stunning performance over 525 yards at Shelbourne Park on Saturday.
Owen McKenna’s dog, who isn’t two until March and had one previous race, catapulted from the traps in the A2 contest recording a slick 1.96 split.
Striding out well the son of Droopys Scolari went on to score by more than eight lengths in 28.32sec, the fastest time of the night.
Paul Hennessy was the trainer to follow completing a four-timer and taking the two open contests on the card.
His Barefoot Apollo was soon clear in the 525 yard open and came home two and a half lengths clear of Droopys Navas in 28.68sec.
Night of the Stars 750 winner Barefoot Agent, successfully stepped back in trip in the 550 yards event to lead at halfway and score in 29.95sec.
However those performances were put in the shade by kennelmate Budgie Bypass in the graded A2/3 event when he drew clear to score by over six lengths in 28.43sec.
The quartet of winners was completed by Painstown Chief, who powered home in the A1 550 yard contest to score in 29.97sec.
Meanwhile at Cork, the performance of the night came from Downdaniel Ali in the Open 525.
Noel O’Donoghue’s runner made all to beat National Puppy Stake finalist Droopys Alondra by a length in 28.49sec.
