Ivy Hill Bart produced the second fastest time of the year over 550 yards at Limerick when landing the Greyhound & Pet World Golden Muzzle Final on Saturday.
Noel Hehir’s runner flew out of the boxes and turned the opening bend two lengths clear of fellow wide runner Jackal Frampton.
He maintained that advantage throughout the race clocking 29.71sec, just under two lengths slower than Redwood Mick’s 2015 best.
The victory earned connections the €4,000 purse.
There was a good run from Ballymartin Bell in the Peter Magnone A2 Final over 525 yards when the son of Black Shaw led from start to finish to beat Steeple Road Vic by three quarters of a length in a decent 28.60sec.
