Two track records went at Perry Barr on Friday night.
Judicial Review (Head Bound-Shes A Storm, Sep 13) took 11 spots off a jointly held 480 metre run with a clocking of 27.96.
Winning owner Andrew Bird said: “He is trained by Carol Weatherall and it was only his sixth race in England and eighth overall. He also equalled the sectional record of 3.40. He had recently clocked 29.55 over 500m at Nottingham. He was bought from Irish derby winning trainer Michael O’Donovan after winning an unraced stake at Limerick. I would particularly like to thank everyone at Coppice kennels for their hard work in helping the dog achieve this great run.”
Meanwhile Carla Hendy’s Newinn This Way (Westmead Hawk-Any Time Again, Apr 13) set a new best for the track’s 660m course with a run of 39.55.
