With open races at a premium at present, Perry Barr racing manager Martin Seal has confirmed that he plans to proceed with a series of opens next Thursday, as advertised.
He said: “Unless scuppered by the weather or instructed by the government that movement of dogs should be restricted, then it’ll be business as usual and Thursday opens will go ahead. Several trainers have already been trialling in advance.”
The races advertised include 275m, 480m maiden, standard and bitches, a 660m and 915m events. Entries close on Monday
