The elimination of Badabing, tailed off and lame, was the biggest shock in the opening round of the Leamaneigh Turbo British Bred Derby at Towcester. John Mullins’ winner of the British Breeders Stakes and runner-up in the Produce Stakes did not complete heat six which was won by litter brother Whatugonnado. King Kid was quickest on the night in 29.79 (-30) for the 500m course.
