Farloe Axle (Ace Hi Rumble-Wontbelong, Sep 13) bounced back from Puppy Cup failure to ‘Cat 2’ winner with victory in the September Puppy Stakes Final at Towcester.
Kevin Hutton’s black, who exited the Romford event at the first hurdle, continued his love affair with his home circuit by leading from trap to line in 28.38. Favourite Light Foot Mata ran on for second place.
It was the fifth win of Axle’s ten race career which began in A4 company at the track.
