Ascot Lydia ran out the winner of the Red Mills Excel / TTSC Champion Bitch Stake over 525 yards at Thurles on Saturday.
Billy Murphy’s runner flew out of the boxes, while the odds-on favourite Shes A Dream saved her worst start of the competition for the big race.
Ascot Lydia went clear around the opening turn and came home three lengths clear of Scissors in 29.01sec.
