Paul Hennessy landed his third successive Red Mills Champion Juvenile Final at Kilkenny when his Barefoot Artist was victorious in the €4,000 Stake at Kilkenny on Friday.
The son of Droopys Scolari, a 5-2 shot, broke moderately as the pace was cut out by Murt Leahy’s High St Flash, who headed the favourite Skilful Legend into the back straight.
With Skilful Legend checking up behind the leader, Barefoot Artist moved up strongly to take up the running off the last turn and came home two lengths clear of a fast finishing Material Man in 29.20sec.
Barefoot Artist appeared 24 hours later in the ECC Timber Champion 550 at Shelbourne.
The time was bettered by House Doctor, who landed the Red Mills Racer Plus Open Unraced Stake.
The December 13 son of Premier Fantasy powered home to score by six and a half lengths in 29.11sec.
