Outsider Corrin Amy was a surprise winner of the Easytrip Parking Open Bitch Stayers over 525 yards at Cork on Saturday.
William Kellerher’s bitch made easily her best start of the competition from trap one, while the favourite Ballymartin Bell was didn’t come away in her usual fashion.
Corrin Amy went clear around the first turn and held off the late flourish of Sporting Press Oaks runner-up Hovex Princess by three quarters of a length in 28.32sec.
The time was bettered in the previous race by Con Guiney’s Castlemagner, who pulled clear at halfway in the €1,500 A3 Final to clock 28.23sec.
