Quietly (Tullymurry Act-Ballymac Bra, Oct 12) added the Cork sprint record to his Tralee 525 course best with an excellent win in the first round of the Greyhound & Petworld Supersprint.
Ian Reilly’s black trapped ‘with them’ but showed decent early to lead a length at the first bend before pulling away for a 17.34 (+05) four and a half length victory over Ballymac Sexton. The winner’s time was four spots inside the previous best held by Leeview Dave.
In a hugely competitive event, Quietly’s time was only nine spots faster than the next two quickest winners, Hee Haws Sheriff and Ballymac Bigmike who extended his win record to 10 wins in 11 races. The other heat winners were Mucho Macho Man (17.52), Must Be Messy (17.66) and Burley Babe (18.02).
