Former Monmore handler Chris Allsopp is returning to Monmore less than a year after leaving for Towcester.
He said: “I am grateful to have had the opportunity to train at Towcester and have enjoyed my time at the Northamptonshire Track. However the pull of my owners is to return to Monmore and I have to listen to them. Monmore is a safe and friendly track and I had 10 very happy and successful years there, most of them as top trainer, as well as securing my Trainers Title in 2011. I’m looking forward to returning”
Racing manager Tony Williamson added “Chris is one of the country’s leading trainers and I’m pleased he will be re-joining our training ranks. He has a great band of owners and his runners will add quality to the top end of our racing strength as we return to 14 races on a Thursday night from September.”
