Stuart Forsdike is the new chairman of the Greyhound Breeders Forum which has been given its biggest shake-up in decades.
The ‘Aero’ man takes over from Pat Quinn who has stepped down from his role but will remain involved as a committee member.
His son, former racing manager David Quinn said: “Dad lives in Scotland now and thought it best to pass on the reigns.
“Stuart comes in with a great deal of enthusiasm and new ideas, particularly in relation to social media, specifically Twitter and Facebook.
“Kinsley trainer Mark Sidall will be vice chairman, Bob Gilling stays on as treasurer and John Marriott is our new secretary.
“The committee will also include myself, my father, trainer John Hayton and Billy Brennan.
“We want to encourage tracks to take a greater involvement and to stage races specifically for British bred.
“We are also aware of difficulties breeders have in getting their pups schooled at the tracks where they want to race them.
“We are asking that they allow schooling at the end of race or trial meetings so that there is still a vet on the premises.
“We are open to new ideas and we hope to have our new website up and running very shortly.”
