Greyhound Trader will be holding an additional sale on Wednesday 1st February at Oxford with trials due to commence at 9:30am.

Nathan Corden explains “We had over 110 entries for Sheffield of which we accepted 50 lots, leaving us with 60 plus greyhounds that we could not accommodate there on the 18th January. Thankfully, Oxford agreed to stage us at short notice on Wednesday 1st February so we have been able to get the vast majority of those 60 out at Oxford.  Once we knew we were well oversubscribed at Sheffield and had Oxford confirmed, we then looked at each greyhound to see if they would be better suited to the 450m at Oxford or the 500m at Sheffield. The split of the quality has really worked out well and there looks to be some nice types coming over to Oxford to be sold on the bench.”

Corden continued “We have a busy couple of months coming up as we have our scheduled sale at Henlow on Wednesday 22nd February and then our feature Pre-Derby sale at Towcester on Wednesday 8th March.  The number of entries we are receiving is mind boggling but very encouraging. We have already had over 50 entries in the book for our Henlow sale which I’m a good couple of weeks away from even starting to think about!”

The catalogue for Oxford on Wednesday 1st February will be available to download at www.greyhoundtrader.com from Wednesday 25th January onwards.
